Back to the Future

Dear President Thomas Jefferson,

Have you ever seen the movie Back to the Future?  Oh, of course you haven’t, movies weren’t invented until the twentieth century.

I have been wanting to talk to you.  I want to ask you about that letter you wrote to Charles Yancey on January 6, 1816.  You started the letter talking about navigating a river and the erection of a dam that you did not want built.  Do you remember the letter?  You also had some interesting things to say about paper money and banks, but that is not what I want to talk about.

Towards the end of the letter, you say you are a great friend of schools.  You proposed a perpetual one cent tax on every person in the state of Virginia.  You thought that this would be enough money to “forever maintain a system of primary or ward schools, and a university where (students) might be taught in its highest degree every branch of science useful in our time and country.”

I don’t know what kind of math you were doing, but even for 1816, that does not sound like enough money to me.  I looked at the census for 1800, and I multiplied it by $.01.  It looks like you thought that $55,000 would be enough money to fund the type of public schooling you were dreaming about.

I was once the leader of a school of two hundred and fifty students and our annual budget at that one little school was fifty seven times larger than what you were proposing.  You thought that the tax would rescue the entire state from having to send kids to New England to be educated.  Did you mean Harvard?

In the next part of your letter, you said something that has gotten to be very popular in the future with people like me.  You said that if the nation expects to be ignorant and free, it expects something that is impossible.  You also said that if everyone reads and a free press exists and thrives, then knowledge and information will keep everyone safe.

It is not going well.  I would love to talk to you about unfortunate attacks on the free press that are happening today.  I am also interested in talking to you about relentless attacks on public schools that are preventing us from delivering quality education to every child in the country.

Would you be willing to get together with me at your earliest convenience?  I hope you are up for discussing your famous quote with me.

This is just the beginning. I have many other topics about public schools I would like to discuss with you.

Sincerely,

Katy Dalgleish

Since you persist in pestering me with the facts I may have to clarify. First off, 4 out of three white folks are not good at math, nor are they good with money unless it is wasting other people’s money (OPM)

In this day and age life is tough and we need competent people to handle their assigned labor.. Most of it is show and tell, like this is how you hammer a nail or shoe a horse… I think you feel that a menial working man has to understand the responsibilities and laws of the nation in order to take part in a rational representative “democracy”.

Really, I don’t think democracy as in one man one vote is workable. Just look at the squabbling of your democracy today!.

Why try to educate to a competent understanding when there is not enough money to lift all the unwashed and illiterate people to some imagined standard of wisdom that they can vote wisely.

So I maybe made a math error. In looking back. At the very least I think I should have appropriated 17 %
About what we need for muskets and cannons.

You think they will even be able to vote for someone that could vote for them? when politicians are just professional grifters/ We cannot afford to give a fair pay or exchange for labor considering our European bankers say they cannot afford it. Free labor is the way to go. Government and business is based on good management. So labor costs have to be affordable and reasonable. And provide for a fair exchange and improving standard of living.. As for Hemmings I never had sex with that woman. I never had sex ever in my life.

Now if people of all races would just work hard and do their jobs we assign we can create a environment where the very best people can live large like the bankers and industrialists. So just ask. no better, just tell and enforce your citizens to work or die. Plus they have to sing happy songs as they labor. Look at the standard of living.

Or just make drugs a substitute for winning with work. and require them to vote for a continuation of the status quo. so give them free drugs, needles, food, porno, and a tent adn port a potty that others clean up.. Make slavery acceptable…well I may re-think that one. Put a chip in their brain, with a pain pleasure switch and an illusion of freedom. You see what education (incomplete) fosters? New scientific idiocy.

Maybe I’m a little out of touch in today’s world It looks chaotic. As for money it is just now a commodity based on a Bankers promise that you have to use it to pay. oh, and we control the supply. If everyone was educated and literate (in what?) and aware of what is happening they would tear us very best people to shreds.. Free gaslighting in endless streams not “education”. free propaganda-a yes so keep them ignorant, reward them for not producing as long as they vote for their own enslavement because they don’t see what is coming. Educate so people cannot be fooled. Free truth-seeking press. no false information that serves an ulterior motive… So as a founder of this nation I declare that yes Democrazies cannot survive without a truely educated population. So figure out what that is and you are good to go.

Just make menial or meningless work valuable and entertaining, like on your modern communication devises and distract everyone from rationality. My comrades in Russia are counting on your demise as a civilization by promoting educated moronism. Dialectic Materialism

How dare you take a look. More money for education! . Let public education serve public needs. Like homeless camps and free drugs especially Meth, serve the people that now cannot function regardless
of education. Now they are victims!? Confuse and control. Now where did my slave girl go?

Well wake me up when you need some more clarification.
